About Michael

psychotherapy Michael Krusinsky LCSW BCD

I am a psychotherapist providing mindfulness-based tele-therapy. Many of my clients have begun to experience anxiety and depression and or begin to feel as if they are out of touch or losing control. Some have undergone a traumatic experience leading to sadness and worry. Often they use substances to cope. Many of my clients have philosophical and spiritual issues or phase of life problems they need to sort out. Ultimately, they want to overcome obstacles that their feelings give them in their lives and stop letting their emotions be in control.

Clinical Philosophy

Firstly, helping my clients to be more present in their day-to-day life is central to my work. To begin, we will establish a genuine relationship through the use of an empowering, trauma-informed approach. Next, we will work together to identify what’s important to you. Then, I will help you to learn to “better feel” by using the strengths and values that you identify. In the end, you will have learned skills to help you make and sustain change.

Most importantly, my clients work toward developing a new relationship with their mind and then begin to live more meaningful lives. They learn to do more of what works and make sense of their lives in a way that is helpful for them. They do this through mindful practice and a variety of other skills. I practice mindfulness in my daily life and help my clients to do the same.

Additionally, I use my background in philosophy to help expand the way a client thinks and to take an active approach in observing their own thought processes in order to discern what is helpful and what isn’t.

As a social worker, I take a holistic behavioral approach. I view problems from a biological, psychological, social, and spiritual perspective.  Social workers consider the whole person in their environment. We recognize the impact of your past experiences and cultural context.
